An Interesting Spiritual Healing Fact
Nurses and Healing Touch
Healing touch starts with the theory that all people are naturally healthy. Healing touch practitioners believe this is a complementary medicine used to change the way a person thinks. They believe that negative thinking can disturb their energy field and make them sick. The purpose of healing touch is to help restore the patient's natural healthy energy field.
Healing touch can influence a person's physical, emotional, and spiritual health. This is done without touching the...

The Reality of Spiritual Healing
Spiritual healing, faith healing, therapeutic touch healing, and Reiki have largely been looked at as placebo that tricks patients making them believe in their mind they are being healed. Recently, more and more studies are showing the world proof that spiritual healing is effective in healing physical and emotional problems in patients. Many patients report relief from chronic pain, faster healing of wounds, and complete healing of emotional and physical problems by being spiritually healed.
One woman who woke up with severe back pain on a visit to her son's out of state home went with him to a fellowship and 12-step recovery group at this church. While she was there, she was anointed with oil and the group laid their hands on her shoulders as they collectively prayed for her back pain. After prayer was finished, the woman didn't experience immediate relief. She felt better but was still barely able to move around without severe pain in her back. She was helped into the foyer to wait for her son who was still involved in his small group. Seated in a comfortable chair she soon began to feel relaxed and discovered the pain in her back was less severe. When her son came out of his meeting, she rose to leave with him and found she could do so without as much pain as she had before prayer. The next morning she was amazed and grateful to wake up and find her back pain was gone! Not even a small ache remained and she has been pain free for over a year. This is not medically documented, just the story of one person's spiritual and physical healing.
Science has only begun to gather scientific evidence for spiritual, physical healing. They are gathering evidence that prayer and spiritual healing does actually work. They are looking at the stories, verifying medical conditions and gradually accepting the fact that spiritual healing does work. No studies have been done previously because medical professionals just assumed that spiritual healing did not work. Scientists in the United States have looked at spiritual healing from the flip side by looking at clinical studies of mice that have been "cursed." The results were astonishing! Out of 194 mice that were "cursed," 151 of them showed a remarkable decline in growth.
They begin experimenting with mice that had a general anesthetic that those mice that were sent "healing thoughts" recovered from the anesthetic much sooner than the other mice. In another study, mice who had breast cancer recovered faster and more completely when healers laid their hands on the mice and sent them energy and positive thoughts. Their theory is if it can work for laboratory mice, it should work for humans. There is growing evidence that this theory is true.
Surgeons report that heart patients who have a group praying for them need less medicine and have a quicker recovery time than other patients. Healers seem to help those who are healthy stay healthy. In California a study was done involving patients with AIDS. They found patients who were prayed for survived in greater numbers and reportedly were sick less often than other patients who were not prayed for.
Doctors and scientists are admitting what many people have believed for centuries. Spiritual healing is a reality! |
